My world was rocked when he took his own life in November 2018. My heart broke over and over for the family and friends left behind. The song is written from the perspective of those left in the wake of loss. Christmas is a strange time for mourning and we are often left feeling like there isn't room for it among all the commercial merriment. I hope that listeners will hear the message loudly; "You are not alone."
